Where do I begin? Jami and I were friends long before Clinton beat out Bush and The Red Hot Chili Peppers went “Under the Bridge”. Our friendship has run the gamut of emotions, from falling in love to falling out of love from family woes to family ties and through it all we were shoulders to lean on; true friendship. So, these past few years I have had the pleasure of watching Jami fall in love with the most wonderful man. With JR, Jami has truly met her match and on a picturesque beach in the Bahamas we watched with tears as they professed their commitment to one another, till’ death do they part. It’s hard to put into words what it felt like to be with all of the most special people in Jami and JR’s life and to know without speaking the words how truly happy my friend is to begin this new chapter in her life. Maybe its pride of purpose but I know for sure that Jami & JR’s wedding weekend proves that good family, good friends and love in your life is what gives all of us a reason to wake up in the morning. So raise your glasses to Jami & JR and their beautiful children Shay & Maddox. To many years of love, friendship and to always having a shoulder to lean on…we love you!

Danny & Valerie…

Little Danny, that’s how my younger brother has always been referred. But long gone are the days of childhood torment and “little” Danny isn’t so little anymore. Come this fall my little brother is going to be married! Not only is he a true gentlemen and someone of which I am proud to say, “He is my brother“, but he is also a man of impeccable taste. His bride-to be, Valerie is a true treasure and we are so excited for her to “officially” be a part of our family (although to us, she is already is…). Though we are not photographing their wedding we had the pleasure of photographing their engagement session and we had a blast. Danny & Valerie, we love you and we can’t wait for November!

Kristen & Jonas created a wedding ensued with tropical elegance from start to finish. They started their day with “Getting Ready” images at a gorgeous Siesta Key home, surrounded by lush south Florida landscape; a photographer’s dream for great images. Our bride was like a doll; just so classic in all the right ways. Then for the ceremony the setting was a beautiful church located on the infamous St. Armand’s Circle in Sarasota, Florida. Even the church was surrounded by the tropical colors and beauty of South Florida. They ended their journey at the indescribable Selby Botanical Gardens, a true nature lovers retreat. Banyan’s, bamboo and exotic flowers as far as the eye could see, a perfect reception setting for Kristen & Jonas.

Sunshine, sand and a wedding full of sunset colors. Susan and Ryan are joyful and completely in love and this feeling fell like a blanket over their wedding day. It wasn’t just Susan’s infectious smile that set the joyful mood it was every wedding detail – the vibrant flowers, the whimsical bridal party sandals, even the groomsmen’s ties, with their different patterns but perfectly matched colors. Whether smiling during their vows, stealing a kiss down by the water or laughing together during their first dance, Susan and Ryan were just as they should be on their wedding day – Happy; and you feel it in every image.

Capturing the “Celebrity Auto”…

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words and when it comes to selling high line and exotic automobiles…no truer words have been spoken. For our client Celebrity Auto Group, photographs are what drive their business (no pun intended…).

CA Group relies on crisp, detailed images of their new and pre-owned vehicles, as a majority of their clients don’t see the vehicle in person until after they’ve made their purchase. Sound crazy? Yes, it did to me too but when you’re dealing with some of the world’s top athletes and celebrity’s as your clientele, car sales are bit out of the norm. Whether it’s a streamlined front end, a custom designed wheel or a one of a kind paint job our photographs have to speak for their lack of tangibility.

From Aston Martin’s to Ford GT’s to Maybach’s – the shock and aw never falters…we know that the images in our memory and our camera will be all we take with us. Just knowing our images may lead to a secret celebrity purchase that involves 6 zeros is thrill enough for us.

Lights, Camera, Angry Moon…

Of course we’ve never considered ourselves “paparazzi” but on the night of March 29, 2011 we were an integral part of the red carpet frenzy (well actually, black carpet!). At the debut party for the Zino Platinum Z-Class Cigar Series hosted at the Angry Moon Cigar Lounge in Palm Beach Gardens there was no shortage of “fame & fortune”.

This chic event was packed with cigar lovers finest and of course the stragglers that just love a good party. There were flashing lights, high-class sponsors, beautiful models, grand stages, shoulder to shoulder guests and some of the best in entertainment. We had the pleasure of photographing the one and only Clarence “The Big Man” Clemmons of Springsteen and the E Street Band fame. Lulling the crown with the sweet sounds of his sax, we worked hard to capture every sound through our images. And if that wasn’t enough, Ron White from the “Blue Collar Comedy” phenomenon kicked off the un-veil, giving the Z-Class Cigar the ostentatious entrance it deserved, after all…he is known as the cigar smoking, scotch drinking funnyman. It was awesome maneuvering through the crowd, snapping away through the smoke and hands as guests reached for their share of the classic Z-Class Cigar.

Villetto Photography is definitely not the “paparazzi” but we do know how to photograph a good party. So let’s recap – celebrities, grand stages, models, fine cigars and more…Zino Platinum and Angry Moon Cigars certainly know how to un-veil a product with class; Z-Class that is…and we will forever have the images to prove it.

Easy Going E-Session…

What can I say about Lindsay and Scott; fun, full of energy and a couple that anyone would love to sit down with and chat over drinks.

It’s the best when you arrive on a shoot and your subject is up for anything. Especially when the subject is wearing 4” heels and a delicate dress and you ask her to navigate her way through bamboo and brush to get the perfect shot; now that’s my kind of girl! Not to forget Scott, just an easy-going guy who would do whatever it took to make their engagement shots not just the best they could be but also as original as they could be. Our apologies to whoever’s bike we “borrowed” – sorry Scott, it was a little big for you…:-)

So we tip our hats to Lindsay, Scott and the beautiful Sarasota Bay because any photographer knows that the best photo shoot comes with great subjects, beautiful settings and creativity. After having so much fun at their Engagement shoot we can’t wait forthe fun we’re going to have at their wedding – Congratulations Lindsay and Scott!

Love and Christmas…

Tis’ the Season; that’s what they say, now what better way to celebrate the season of giving than the union of two people in love? So this Christmas instead of a day filled with relishing over our gifts and savory left over’s we photographed a Christmas Wedding. Unusual maybe, but when all was said and done it was a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas day.

Beyond the smell of fresh pine garland and soft, subtle mini bulbs (and all that speaks Christmas) was a beautiful bride looking like she stepped out of a fairytale and beaming with joy; anxious to open her ultimate gift – the gift of marriage. Now, the choice to get married on Christmas day…our bride didn’t really consider it a choice but more a no-brainer. See the bride and groom met on Christmas day so it just seemed natural that this would be the day they would forever join their lives, (officially that is…). So, surrounded by loved ones, Shedena and Hugo made a promise to love, honor and cherish and we proudly photographed a couple that truly understands the meaning of Christmas.

Though we’ve packed up our tinsel and laid our dried trees to rest – Rob and I will always remember Christmas 2010 as the year we photographed our first Christmas wedding and the day we were reminded of the “Reason for the Season”.

Takin’ it to the streets…

Though we live in one of the most beautiful, “beachy” destinations in America there’s nothing like a photo session downtown to remind you that not all the beauty lies at the shore line. I suppose it’s the New Yorker in us that makes an urban backdrop so appealing.

It could be a crumbling brick wall, a busy street filled with people, or a lonely alley riddled with photographic treasures. No matter the backdrop, these urban sites are home to some great images and we’ve recently had the pleasure of taking advantage.

We’ve been doing more engagement sessions downtown and other outlying areas in Sarasota. It’s amazing what buildings and pavement can add to an image. Now don’t get me wrong – it’s always our couples that make the images (we have some great subjects…) but it’s the couples interaction with their surroundings that makes an image work. I like to think of each image telling its own story. Maybe this is where the couple had their first date or it’s the street where they were first introduced? Even if there is no connection to their surroundings it’s nice when an image makes you wonder about who and where they are and if nothing else, animage that our newly engaged couples can treasure for life.
